The Math Department's Peer Study Program offers a 3-hour algebra review session, each of which will consist of a brief lecture on elementary algebra topics and sample problems representative of the type of problems on the Accuplacer Elementary Algebra Test. Students will be given a follow-up worksheet of similar problems with answers to complete on their own time after the session.
Each session will cover the following topics: Order of Mathematical Operations, Absolute Value, Radicals, Simplifying Algebraic Expressions, Evaluating Expressions, Factoring, Solving Equations and Inequalities, and Basic Geometry.
It is strongly recommended that students attend the entire 3-hour session for a complete review of all topics on the test; however, a student who wishes to attend a part of a session may do so if he or she wishes to review only selected topics.
Reservations are *not* required to attend these sessions. Seats in each session are avaliable on a first-come, first-served basis; if you arrive at a session and there are no more seats available, then you will be asked to leave and attend a later session.
Students should test or re-test approximately 5 to 10 days after attending a review session so they have sufficient time to complete and study the additional worksheets.

These sessions are for students who need a quick review of basic high-school level algebra skills. If you have not recently completed at least one year of high-school level algebra, then you will most likely not be able to gain much knowledge by attending these sessions.
